Agapanthus Baby Pete PBR
There is a reason the dwarf agapanthus have taken over from the old roadside type in commercial planting. Baby Pete is compact, evergreen and tidy, with short, narrow, dark green leaves and blue flower heads carried just clear of the foliage rather than on tall stems that flop after summer rain. It repeats through the warm season if spent heads are taken off.
It handles full sun through to part shade, wants low to moderate water once established, and grows at a moderate pace, which makes it dependable for driveway edges, kerb strips, low borders and mass planting where an even line matters. It also copes with reflected heat off paving and brick better than most flowering perennials.
Cut spent flower stems off at the base. That keeps the planting clean and limits seed, which matters because taller agapanthus has naturalised along roadsides and creek lines in cooler parts of the south east. Divide congested clumps in autumn if flowering starts to thin.

This plant is available in 2 sizes, from 140mm up to 170mm, priced from $17.95 to $23.95 per plant. The size shown is the pot the plant arrives in, which is the rootball, not the height of the plant.
