Kalanchoe Silver Spoons
Grown almost entirely for foliage, this kalanchoe carries thick paddle shaped leaves coated in a dense white felt that reflects sun and beads off rain. Held in opposite pairs up a fleshy stem, they read as a solid silver mass from a distance, which is exactly what a hot bed of dark green succulents tends to be missing.
That felt is also the weak point. Overhead watering and long wet spells mark it, strip it and invite rot, so water at the base, plant into gritty free draining soil and give it sun and moving air. Mealybug likes to hide in the fur, so check the leaf joints when the plant arrives and again through summer.
Frost will damage it and prolonged humidity is harder on it than drought. Mature plants can send up a flowering stem, but nobody grows this one for the flowers. Delivery is a flat $99 within QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, ACT and WA, with a $399 minimum order.

The size shown is the pot the plant arrives in, which is the rootball, not the height of the plant.
