Japanese Maple - Acer palmatum Atropurpureum Purple Maple
Siting decides whether this maple looks good or looks burnt. It wants shelter from hot dry wind and from harsh afternoon sun in warmer inland gardens, with morning sun or high filtered shade, free draining soil and a decent mulch layer.
