Kangaroo Paw - Anigozanthos Bush Fury PBR
Bred within the Bush Gem line of kangaroo paw hybrids, Bush Fury was selected for compact growth and better resistance to the ink spot that disfigures older garden paws. Flower stems carry the familiar furry paw shaped blooms in warm orange and red tones above a fan of evergreen strap leaves, and nectar feeding birds find them within days of opening.
Sun, drainage and air movement are the three requirements. Overhead irrigation, crowded planting and thick mulch pushed against the crown all encourage the black leaf marking that gets blamed on the plant rather than the site.
Maintenance is simple and worth doing. Once flowering finishes, cut the spent stems and tired older leaves back to near ground level, water once, and let the clump reshoot clean. Do not confuse this with the tall Anigozanthos flavidus types that reach well over head height in flower; this is a smaller plant for the front of a bed. Supplied in 5lt.
